On the surface Tiny Rhino seemed like the perfect band. Each member fit the boy band stereotype (the pudgy one, the quiet one, the weirdo) but it was not meant to be. Kieth Dye was a friend I met in high school (how I met him, I still can't remember) who played guitar and wanted to put together a band. His friend Chris played bass, and I of course played drums so we jammed a few times. There is a tape we made called Tiny Rhino (I don't think the band was ever named) that had us playing such things as the Cure's "Boys Don't Cry." I can't find the tape so I can't remember too much else about it. We never played out, just rehearsal stuff. Members came and went, but for the tape it was me, Keith and Chris.
