After more than 3 years had passed, I went back and collected all the No Way Out material I could. I had 4-track tapes lying around, my dad had an 8mm tape of our very first performance, and I borrowed some of Matt Chwat's 8mm's of concerts. I wanted to make a cd that was similar to the Beatles' Anthologies, a chronicle of the band's journey. Continuing with the Beatles' Anthology motif, I wanted to have at least one new song. That meant ...a No Way Out reunion! I wrote 2 new songs. One called "Bond" based on a tune I wrote while in No Way Out with lyrics about our favorite practice-time-waster, Goldeneye. The second song was called "What You Put In Is What You Get Out" and was a bit of nonesense lyrics that name-checked all our ska nicknames. I tried to get Chwat to write a new No Way Out song, considering he was the main songwriting force during the band's heyday, but it was like pulling teeth just to get him involved at all in the reunion. The reunion was set and everyone showed up at Nic's house (except Alan, who hurt his back, and then was off to the military) where we chose to do "Bond." Everybody recorded their parts seperately and I went about the task of putting everyone together (and slipping in Alan's drum clicks and bassdrum from the No Way Out CD - he was like the John Lennon: not able to be there. It makes perfect sense since his nickname was Absent Ska!) The rest of the CD was fleshed out with the material collected from the past, trying to duplicate as least as possible.

Track List
1) Bond Well it happened. No Way Out reunited in the summer of 2003 and recorded this new song - written by Steve. A combination of an old, unused No Way Out melody (dating back to mid 1999) and a lyric based upon the 'Goldeneye' video game ever-present at rehearsals.

2) Mothra No Way Out's mysterious first recording - recorded in Matt's house late 1998. Matt's vocals and Chris Jackson's saxophone are not present. Steve, Jim and Mikey Mlotkowski's guitars were all taped onto one track, which was defectively recorded, and therefore has been removed from this mix. The guitars are picked up from Alan's drum mics.

3) Variety Show Recorded in the Robinson Secondary middle school band room and put forward for the 1999 talent contest the song was named after. Includes the only recorded appearance of Chris's saxophone, yet oddly is missing Jim's bass.

11) 3 Unused Demos A sampling of three songs Steve wrote for No Way Out, but never used. The first two were recorded in late 1998 and early 1999 respectively. The third was written as an opening instrumental for the CD that No Way Out was to record in the summer of 1999, and although put forward to members of the band, it's inclusion was decided against.

Ram Jam Demos 12) Variety Show The warm-up take of the only song to be submitted for the Ram Jam Battle of the Band judges. Jim was absent during the recording (sometime in April of 1999) and Matt is only present on this take in the form of noises.

13) Variety Show The take submitted to the Ram Jam judges. Matt overdubbed his vocals and Steve overdubbed a bass track.

14) No Way Out Harmonies After Alan, Mike and Brian had left, Nic, Steve and Matt recorded these quick, humorous takes of a hidden message for the Ram Jam tape. The last run-through (including Nic's send-off) was used, and when altered a bit, became the intro to No Way Out's CD.
