No Way Out entered Walton Studios in Burke, Virginia on June 25th. Right before everyone got there I took a piss outside in the woods right behind it! The first day was meant to do the rhythm section. Drums, Bass, Guitar and one take for Vocals were all done at once. Alan used the studio drums, Jim used the studio's Fender Bass, and I used my Peavey bass amp, Charvel electric guitar and Daddy-O overdrive pedal. Matt then did some more vocal takes, and I did some more guitar stuff. I also played bass on two songs, instead of Jim, and wiped clean the only guitar part Matt played. The next day, we went back and it was time to record the horns. They did their stuff, and then background vocals were recorded. A big mic was set in the studio and we gathered around it, it was real cool. Just like that, the CD was finished! We pressed 500 copies and sold more than 400 of them, easily making a profit (although i'm sure each of us have a few extra copies of the CD lying around somewhere!)
